NYFW debut 2023
We had our first NYFW debut with Asian NYFW at Saint Mary Grand, located at 440 Grand Street, New York, NY!
The SS24 collection, made of fully sustainable fabrics, was inspired by an organic cotton farm in India; hence, exhibiting its farm-inspired earthy color scheme with key colors of soft browns, muted blues, greens, and shades of oranges. The collection features our in-house knits and patchworks, and jackets made out of denim and suede fabric that mixes the workwear vibe to iconic streetwear garments. Various pieces from the collection also showcase a flower symbol, inspired and simplified from an organic cotton bud flower, which symbolizes sustainable and ethical fashion.
As usual, the pieces in the collection are made completely out of deadstock fabric sourced from FABSCRAP in Brooklyn New York, and GOTS-certified organic cotton fabric, featuring sustainable and genderless streetwear that are carefully designed to fit all genders. For the runway, CTBT Studio and the head designer and founder Sieun Lee has been recognized by State Senator Brian Kavanagh for the contribution to Asian NYFW, as Asian NYFW aims to showcase and celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander creatives, designers, and stories as well as the diversity of the AAPI experience and community through fashion.
